The first time I met Ian was at a MVM fundraiser. At some point, Ian went out into the crowd (after we were done playing) to give a toast and say a few words about the project, which was quite new at that time. Anyway, when he got to the part about the look on kids' faces as they experience that gelling moment of making music in real time with other people and the power that comes out of their own fingertips, he started to cry. Like...some real tears. He had to take a solid minute to gather himself. I don't have to tell you how much this all meant to him...but I certainly learned in that moment that this person was the real deal. It warmed me to Ian and the love that all of you put into your work. I hope everyone in the MVM camp is doing okay. - Tim Perry
